Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed

Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed (Pavel) is a distinguished leader in the Bangladeshi insurance sector. He is the Vice-Chairman of both Meghna Life Insurance PLC and Karnaphuli Insurance PLC. Additionally, he served as the President of the Bangladesh Insurance Association.

He is the Director of Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL) and also a Director of the International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed’s leadership extends further as he is also the Chairman of Meghna Life Securities & Investment Ltd.

His influence and dedication are evident in his roles as a Director at the Nizam Hasina Foundation and the Nizam Hasina Foundation Hospital, as well as a member of the Board of Governors of the Bangladesh Insurance Academy.

He has received extensive training in insurance from various institutions and has participated in numerous seminars both domestically and internationally. Over the past decade, Mr. Ahmed has made significant contributions through his involvement in several committees formed by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance, the Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA), and the Bangladesh Insurance Association. These efforts have been pivotal in advancing the insurance sector.

In addition, Mr. Ahmed is a Member of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) and has served as the Chairman of its Standing Committee on Insurance. Representing the FBCCI, he has traveled to many countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Oman, Russia, Ukraine, and the Philippines.

As a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Midtown, Mr. Ahmed exemplifies the spirit of community service.
